"350XLT" Xtra-Lite

Coan Engineering continues to be the leader in 'Class Competition' transmissions through the development of its 350XLT. 350XLT transmissions are built using a General Motors Turbo Hydramatic 350 case making them a direct changeover from a Powerglide or TH200. While these transmissions are based upon the TH350, the 350XLT is quite unique.

The entire rotating assembly of these transmissions is 3/4" smaller in diameter than any TH350. This, along with the use of CNC machined billet aluminum clutch drums and in some cases billet aluminum planetary carriers, reduces the rotating mass and minimizes parasitic losses making them the fastest 3 speed automatics available.
